Vonjy Rajakoba appointed as Managing Director of Bosch UK
Steffen Hoffmann leaves for Russia
After six years as President of Bosch UK, Steffen Hoffmann will leave the UK for a new Moscow-based role, heading up Bosch operations in the Russian Federation and surrounding countries, in January 2021. The region has around 300 million people and annual Bosch sales of €1.5bn.
During his tenure at Bosch UK the operations grew significantly, with annual sales now over £1bn higher than in 2014. Steffen also brought some new innovative projects to life around the IoT and decarbonisation, building a small business development team focusing on the IoT and services - a success story leading to £10m+ business for Bosch.
On 1st December, Vonjy Rajakoba was appointed Managing Director of Bosch UK as Steffen’s successor. With more than 10 years experience at Bosch, Vonjy’s new role will see him overseeing the entire UK business as well as continuing his position as Head of Bosch Professional Power Tools UK, which he has held since April this year.
Vonjy began his career with the company in 2009 in Germany, heading up the European sales organisation for Bosch Sensortec, before moving on to lead the worldwide sales team. Prior to taking over his current position, Vonjy set up and led the Bosch Power Tools business in Africa.
Vonjy says: “With a decade of experience working across different parts of the business, I am delighted to be on board as Managing Director of Bosch UK. I am really looking forward to a new challenge, whilst still working closely with the Power Tools team - one part of the Bosch business that I am especially passionate about.”
